The frustrating thing is they shouldn't be behind us in the purchase process. Their original buyer pulled out so they actually had almost a month on us in terms of their purchase. We were told they were already in the process of buying the other property hence why the need for urgency on our part because of the deadline the local authority wanted to sale to go through by.
The EA has been involved throughout and appears as frustrated as I am with their solicitor. The fact that the vendor has sent an email threatening not to pay their solicitor makes me think the delays are in the most part down to them.
We've budgeted for one month of both mortgage and rent-anymore than that and we'll be eating into our budgets for repairs etc at the new place.
We need dates to work to due to us having to book leave in advance, we have a dog that suffers Sep anxiety so for the sake of ours and our new neighbours sanity we need time off to settle him as well as do all the works. And quite frankly I'd like to go away on holiday and not have to worry about what is or isn't happening solicitor wise. The holiday is meant to be a chill out break to recover from the stress!
I'll speak to my solicitor tomorrow see what she suggests.0
