shall i book or shall i wait??

i have been looking for a holiday for me and my 2 kids in feb 08 as it will be the last time i can take them away as my eldest will be starting school in april. i want to go AI as i just want a relaxing holiday where the kids can just play in the pool, get ice creams when they want and not have to worry about money!!
i was looking at the travel republic site and found a week in feb to Fuerteventura staying at La Piramide for £181.66 flights i found on thomsonfly for £489 which all in all makes it a rather cheap holiday. i noticed from the hotel that its a LIGHT AI tariff which knowing my luck means no free ice cream lol also some of the reviews have been shoddy but some have been pleasently suprising.
im not sure whether to just book this holiday and make the most of it or wait a bit longer and see if i can get a late deal nearer the date.
im not really fussed where we go as long as the flight isnt too long and its warm!

what i dont want is my kids to have a crap time
It only seems kinky the first time.. :A

thats such a great price!! i never thought of booking one way flights.
ideally i would like to go anytime from the 14th february until the 24th at the latest, but then saying that im sure i could change it to anytime in feb. i'm not sure but have i choose a half term holiday from the 14th?? i also wouldnt mind being too close to the airport as 2 kids, luggage and a buggy i would prefer a short taxi ride lol gatwick is the right airport too!

thanks sloppy thats real nice of you to look that up :D

I think you may well be into half term with those dates. My kids are off from 16th; but I'm pretty sure other areas have the week off from the 23rd.

I'd change the dates. Are you able to move the holiday back by a week to the beginning of March? The prices would be better than half term, as would the chances of good weather in more places.

    Good luck!
