Switching credit cards for TopCashback cashback

I have an HSBC credit card which I hardly use at all. Maybe three or four times a year. And I tend to pay off the balance before the interest kicks in. Most of the time my balance is zero. Recently I noticed that Top Cashback offer cashback for successful applications for certain credit cards e.g http://www.topcashback.co.uk/nationwide-credit-card/ gives £30.45. This seems similar to current a/c switching bribes.
Does anyone have experience of switching cards for the cashback? Are there any things to watch out for? The only page I could find where this is talked about is at https://www.lovemoney.com/news/47844/hsbc-cashback-when-you-get-credit-card

You don't have to "switch" just apply for them in addition to those you already have.0

Thanks, yeah, I picked up on that when I was researching this earlier. Surprised I didn't come across an MSE article on credit card "switching" for cashback. Of course a search on it yields results on cashback gained from spending on the credit card, not the "switch" itself.0

When you go through via their link, they often get a similar amount of cashback for the themselves and not you.Jabba_flabba wrote: »Thanks, yeah, I picked up on that when I was researching this earlier. There is not such kind of switching credit card.
To get a new credit card, even with the same bank you will still need to apply like anyone else.
Also you will need to check it whether HSBC allow people to have its other range of credit card if people already have one card with them.Jabba_flabba wrote: »I have an HSBC credit card which I hardly use at all.
