Lidl Warranty - praise

I often shop at Liddl and see the 3 year warranty on most all their appliances and tools - always wondered what it was worth.

My 2 year old Silvercrest combi microwave (£70) had its turntable fail - luckily I did have the receipt - so could quote them the number from it - so its always a good idea to take a snap of your receipt on your phone etc.

When calling Lidl they give you the number of Compernass who manage many of the brands - they emailed a return label and off it went to Germany for recycling (you do need to find a box to put it in). 8 days later a new microwave appeared.

So top service award to them - especially compared to other retailers who faf around.
