Condition after electrical work

Hi folks,
Got a really stupid question. We had an electrician put some stuff on walls. I was expecting that we'd need to do some repainting afterwards, as obviously he needed to poke holes in said walls. I was a bit surprised, though, at the condition things ended up in, e.g.:
damage to surrounding woodwork (more)
lateral damage that seems like it shouldn't have been necessary
holes I wasn't expecting at all
Is that all stuff I should have expected?
And should I have expected him to clean up at all? There's all sorts of rubbish been left in sinks, for example.
TIA!

Bit of filler will sort that.0

To be fair re the holes, unless you have a detailed schematic it's sometimes difficult to work out where the wires actually run. That might explain the (with hindsight) unnecessary holes.
As for the mess, did the electrician include making good/repainting in his price? sometimes it saves money for the customer to do that themselves, we'll taken that option in the past. Silver-surfer is right, a bit of filler will sort it and repainting as required.0 -
Thanks both, appreciated!0

Just another example of todays so called workmanship.......shoddy,careless work
I would call it.
I would nvere have left a customer with that sort of finish priced in or not !!0 -
All holes can easily be filled. No matter what surface the hole is in. Though the job does sound a bit rubbish.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0
