Stoozing Update required

Have done stoozing in the past (before the charges were introduced  ), but have become a bit lost as to the best Cards to use at the moment.

Which Card is the best one now to use as a 'conduit' to get the money into a Bank account?
Has the 'charges' had a major effect on the practice?
It has taken about 4,500,000,000 (4.5 billion) years for the Earth to form as it is now .........
and it'll only take about another 100 years for mankind to really **** it up!!!!

The Egg Money Card without a doubt.

They have certainly had an effect on the profitability of some deals but there is still plenty of money to be made. Here is the latest Stoozing Update article which I wrote for the stoozing site. It looks at the current offers and challenges.

  • When I was stoozing a year or so ago my stooze pot was over 150% of my yearly salary. As the cards came to the end I closed them AND got a written confirmation from the Credit Card companies to the effect that the account was closed. I've noticed a number of people have had renewal offers from past companies to take their Cards again ..... but I haven't had a sniff :o , so did I do the right thing by getting the Companies to give me written confirmation.

The normal time to get a renewal offer (if you get one) is when you call up to close your card. At that point they may put you through to a customer retention department to make you an offer to entice you to keep the card open. If you don't get a good offer then close the card like you have done. You can the return to them as a new customer (with new 0% offers) some time later.

Well, I was just about to say yes.

However, I see that Capital One have just launched a 7 month 0% fee-free product...unusual to say the least in the current climate.

It's being discussed on the stoozing site at:
