    That's not what I'm saying.

I think you've mis-understood my post and mis-understood the information on the FP website.

Your payment may take longer than 2 hours for reasons that are nothing to do with the Faster Payment process - I gave some likely examples of why in my first post. The actual Faster Payment process always takes 2 hours or less (unless there is a technical issue with the Faster Payment Service infrastructure). The infrastructure and handling of the Faster Payment process is the responsibility of the Faster Payment Service (not Tesco Bank).

AND as quoted Tesco had a duty to inform therefore I could make a informed decision, not Tesco leave a customer penniless with no access :)
SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe ;)

Tesco Bank are easily the slowest at Faster Payments of all the banks I've used. Whenever I do my monthly transfers (to meet current account requirements), every other transfer appears within a few seconds. Tesco Bank can take hours, for transfers both in and out.

Opened a Tesco Savings Account recently. Have done 2 transfers to 2 Co-Operative accounts at 5pm on Saturday evening. Still neither has reached its destination.....

Hope you did suitably panic throughout the night.:D

The committed turnaround for Faster Payments is by the end of the next business day. Many banks do maintenance in the small hours of the weekend as this inconveniences the least number of people.

Obviously it stopped off for a cuppa at an all-night greasy spoon and fell asleep :rotfl:
