Morning all

Thanks for your words of comfort all. Unfortunately my Aunts and Uncles and immediate family only heard one side of events so I don't blame them really. My brother just milked it.

Mother really did bring this on herself. Such a shame.

On top of this my husband is in daily contact with a woman from Russia. They both are members of a car forum but it's progressed from Facebook messages to emails. She's a lawyer and has her own cosmetic surgery clinic apparently. Yes, get on with it love....

The men will be home tonight. Lasagne for tea.

Onwards and forwards

Have a great day all

Morning :hello:

Judi I'm so cross on your behalf! Take it easy for a few days and just concentrate on yourself xx

My neighbour two doors away came round and said she'd seen rats running along the bottom of her garden for the last couple of days. She checked with next door and they'd seen them too. She wondered if they went as far as my garden – she was worried about my chickens being attacked. I had a good look around and couldn't see anything, then a couple appeared and stole food from the chicken feeder – while the chickens were eating! I couldn't find a rat run so they must've appeared very recently. We've hunted around our gardens and there's no nest, it must be in the next house along because next to them is a road, I assume the rats aren't crossing the road all day long. The people have lived there for years and never speak to anyone so asking them about it will probably be viewed as an accusation, lol. I wish the nest was in our garden (I originally thought it must be, what with compost bins and chickens), it'd be easier to deal with . But for now, the three of us are going to put poison down and hope that gets rid of them.

We're putting the tent in the car for the first time today. We're taking Scampi to the rescue centre for a visit, he loves the fuss they give him while he's there :D We won't stay for too long, dogs are being taken for walks all day long – they have rescues and boarders. He'll be fine with the boarders, but if any of the rescues are as nervous as he was, he'll upset them just by being there as they walk past. Then we need to buy poison and chicken feed, there's country stores type place nearby. Hopefully when we get home I won't need to clean the tent out :D

• Good morning everyone,

Sorry I've been a bit inconsistent this week.

Judi - Sorry to hear that the funeral was more difficult than it already would've been for you.
Dumpling - I use Sudafed when I've a cold and it always seems to work wonders. Recommended for you and your other half.

Seem to be some keen sewers on this thread each morning. I've a slight tear in my favourite pair of jeans and my mum and GF are telling me to bin them, but the MSE in me is screaming no!! I'll put a picture up soon to get your expert thoughts.

Yesterday was the golf day at The Carrick Golf Club next to Loch Lommond. Hate to rub it in but the weather was perfect. I'm sunburnt. IN SCOTLAND!!!

Ladies and gents, have a wonderful Friday if you can. As Judi always says, 'onwards and forwards'.

Morning everyone,

Judi hugs.
Dumpling I recommend Olbas Oil.

Work has been so busy this week that I haven't had time to breathe let alone post, it is always the same around this time of year as we are getting everyone ready for their exams. It seems to get more stressful every year!

MIL is coming to stay for the weekend and we are going to see Matthew Bourne's Sleeping Beauty on Saturday, really looking forward to it

Have a good day everyone.:)

Hi Guys,
Been awake since 3 am:o
Still, managed to get tickets to see Donny Osmond at Brighton in January. As I need a wheelchair space, OH is free! Yah!:T

Also decided to take up Martin's Sky offer. Haven't been a customer for four years, been using free sat, but thought the offer was too good. Only have it for a year then cancel. OH is pleased, he loves F1.

Love and hugs to all that need them

Still sad about my cat. Got up in the night, and realised that I don't have to have the door left open for him to come in :A

Have a great day guys xxx

• Someone turned off Spring!!! it's been chucking it down with rain all day here and I've just come home from a very soggy doggie walk! Oh well tomorrow is another day and I hope a drier one. He Who Knows was going to put some new fence panels up today and is now dozing on the sofa bless him. Had a lovely skype with Zebra this morning and he showed me his moose toy that he got in the USA and his aeroplane that is the same as the one he flew in, he has so many words now and is a proper little boy, not a baby. He can also almost count up to 10 he's OK until you get to 7 then it's a bit random and has learned his colours but still is confusing black and white, they're not tiny for long are they?

Hope you've all had a nice day and are not as wet as we are here in the far south, Lyn xxx.

Hello, back from the Mr marks and s outlet, where I got some things at bargainous prices, some trousers, an assymmetrical cardigan type item, a top, a linen shirt and some socks for £52. Then to as*a for reduced plonk, ys bread, some wonton type things because am too cream crackered to do it myself . And broccoli and pay choice. Pak choi you silly machine.
I go to the outlet place a few times a year but sometimes all they have in the colours I like are patterned and I am not big on patterns. So a good haul today. Am disproportionately pleased with the reduced bread.
I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back

My first thought is to ask if the tear is in a place you could sew a patch over? I do remember a friend of mine having a patch that said "best rump" sewn onto the derriere of her jeans! :D

Sorry LM - it's been another glorious day here again. I know it won't last so am enjoying it whilst I can.

I've been out to buy dust sheets, decided against cloth ones when I saw the price of them, so plastic it is. Whilst in H*mebase I bought a scarifier / raker for the lawn. OH still has his dad's old one but it's petrol driven and I'm just not using it. I replaced his dad's petrol lawnmower last year - as he's not here often enough to cut the grass regularly I decided to get an electric one. I might scarify tonight if the forecast for tomorrow isn't good.

I've also changed the bedding this morning and got it all washed and out on the line. When I got home the bottom sheet had been christened so it's been back in the washer and now out on the line, everything else is dry.

My dinner date for tomorrow night has called off, both him and his wife are not well so there's no point going out. Suits me well.
