"A lease option allows the holder to rent a particular property with the right (but not the obligation) to buy it in the future at a price agreed today"

But bear in mind, you'll "pay" for this service somewhere along the line as they're in business to make money.

    homebuy scheme?
  • There is such a scheme but it only works if you already own/have a mortgage on a property. You rent out your first property and put the rental obtained into the mortgage for another property you have since moved into. It's complicated financially because you need to have a relatively small mortgage on property 1 to make any/enough money to put into property 2.
The mortgages are called let and buy mortgages...NOT buy to let.
The only thing to do with good advice is to pass it on. It is never of any use to oneself. (Oscar Wilde);)
