my other half got diagnosed with multiple sclerosis a few weeks ago. He works full time and will hopefully continue to do so whilst he still can.
I work full time also , we receive child tax credits (various elements due to son getting hrc and hrm dla) and also child benefit.
just wondering if we are meant to inform tax credits/council tax/housing benefit ? (we don't get hb or ctb )
not sure how it works tbh.
thanks

I don't think so in those circumstances, as income is unchanged.
The things you'd need to inform them of would be if your husband got benefits due to his condition, or if he needed to work less you would ask them to re-asess your awards in the grounds of lesser income.0 -
I don't think there is a requirement to Inform anyone, although PIP is paid to those who can work also, as its non means tested, if awarded working tax credits would be awarded at disabled rate, there are two rate, standard disability element of WTC and Severe Element of working tax credit.
I would have a discussion on claiming this.0 -
You definitely don't need to inform anyone based on what you've written here. But as said above definitely look into PIP.Master Apothecary Faranell replied, “I assure you, overseer, the Royal Apothecary Society dearly wishes to make up for the tragic misguidance which ended so many lives. We will cause you no trouble. We seek only to continue our research in peace".0

Someone should inform his employer. Depending on the industry this could be a serious matter.
My father was on a building site when he nearly tripped. This was witnessed by someone connected with the sites insurers who had him barred from the site. He was dismissed two weeks later and never worked again. Although it took nearly 2 years to get an MS diagnosis it turned out it wasn't MS but some unpronounceable nerve condition.
On the other hand my ex neighbor has had MS for 7 years and still works at Tesco's on the tills.
