Was wondering if anyone can help me! (Thanks in advance.
I am so confused as to what to do. Basically, my friend borrowed my car to drive himself to work and back twice. He works at Next in the Beehive Centre in Cambridge. He asked his boss to put my number plate on the system so my car would not get any tickets for staying past the max 3 hour limit whilst he worked. His boss agreed and said he had sorted it.
I have now recieved two parking tickets worth in total £170!!! £85 each.
I cannot contact anyone or phone anyone for assistence, i have had to appeal. However i got so angry as i am a student and cant afford the £170, that i thought i might aswell just pay £100 and be stress-free. The letter states if you pay within 14 days of the date stated, you would only have to pay £50 a ticket. when i came to pay, its telling me its still £85 each!!! And i cant speak to anyone for help as the only phone number they have is to pay it!
Please someone help.
Thanks!

You can give parkingeye the name and address of your friend and they then become liable, not youDedicated to driving up standards in parking0

has your friend not been back to work to sort it out for you .....?
do not pay even a single £1
you will end up on a 'suckers' list

Thank you!
He has apparently asked his manager and his manager said he'll sort it... But no action has took place. I again asked tonight if Connor could sort this out. I really cannot afford to pay this. I was under the impression my car was fine parking there because it had been put onto the system, which his boss had said it had.0 -
stress to him to sort it because you will be naming him if this is not sorted ...
let him know that parkinglie DO do court
read the thread to find out what time scale you have to reply in
do not miss the deadline ...
good luck

If driver/employer are slow to sort this out, I'd send the PPC a letter similar to this:"Darling Fascist Bully Boys*
I am the registered keeper of Vehicle reg. AB13DCE.
I refer to Parking Charge No. xxxxxx and Parking Charge No. xxxxx I have just recieved.
I am writing to advise you that I was not the driver at the time, the driver was Mr. (whoever he is) of (whatever his address is) - therefore please address any further correspondence to him.
Please note that this discharges my responsibility under the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012, and I am not liable for the charges.
Now please chuff off and dont bother me again.

*a gold star to the first person who can name the comedy series - and episode, that these lines came from.......
Then it's up to the driver and employers to sort out and you shouldn't need to worry.0 -
I would add in the letter that your friend who was driving works at "XXXX company" who have an arrangement but appear not to have put this into practice.
That adds weight to the fact that it was someone else who had the need to be there who was driving.0 -

'The Young Ones' I reckon? Neil? Do I get a gold star?!
@Rebeccajsp just go online to PE's contact page and appeal but basically, name the driver with his address. Use catfunt's wording then it's up to Connor to appeal and get it cancelled. Make sure he is under no illusions and he MUST NOT ignore the PCNs when PE send him his own copies to appeal, which will arrive to him soon after you give his name & address.
Next can cancel this in seconds with a phone call, by the way.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
