Premier Inn cancellation charges for Premier Saver booking

I have just checked in to stay at Gatwick Premier Inn on Saturday and do intend to stay there. I was fully aware on booking that I couldn't change my booking or get any refund at all (should I need to cancel). However I don't remember being told on previous occasions that a Premier Saver booking can't be cancelled at all.…

I'm not sure if Premier Inn over book

I've turned up many times - at least once a week sometimes 3 or 4 - at well past midnight and never been told my pre-booked room isn't available. If they do have an over booking policy, I would expect to have had the odd issue before now.

Change is inevitable, except from a vending machine.
