o.k moggins, join me for a glass of red?
Why is it men have to have life screamed at them before they notice how stressful it is for the women. We don't just sit around all day, 'playing with the children'.
This old style lark is b****y hard work. Mine , granted does get up at 4.30am for work mon-fri., but thinks that gives him good reason to fall asleep every 5 mins once he's home.:mad:0 -

Still AWOL I'm afraid:eek: .
Dropped leaflets through letter boxes all round the block yesterday afternoon asking people to check sheds & garages etc. One phonecall from a lovely old lady saying she had seen him in her garden just after the rain but nothing since.
The next step will be to environmental health to ask if they have collected any remains form the area but I know from experience (not this cat) that there is no point phoning them for a day or 2 yet.
Don't think there is anything else we can do, old style or otherwise.
Cats & kids, ehh. Who'd have them?Post Natal Depression is the worst part of giving birth:p

Have you contacted your local Police Station? They keep a log of missing pets and found pets so they can marry them up. Also, try local cat rescue places.

Also try all the vets in your area, as often that's the first place people will take an animal if found in a distresed condition.
Probably a long shot, but there's also the RSPCA in case someone's reported seeing him hanging around. Their number is 0870 55 55 999 which is actually their cruelty line but it's the only one publicly available and they would have a record of any reports or sightings made to them."An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will"

Hmm. Feel a bit masochistic about posting such a lighthearted comment when Lillibet must be worried sick and very upset about her cat, but ...
... I have a bit of an announcement. And bear with me for posting it here as it will become clear at the end.
I have just transferred all of the balances from 3 credit cards onto the new one off Lloyds TSB because this is 0% for another 6 months, and 2 of the others have interest. (I thought the Halifax one was 0% too, but it appears it's a "low rate" for the life of the balance transfer.)
I've cut the 2 interest-charging cards up and will cancel them as soon as the new statements arrive. I've also cut up the Lloyds card so I'm not tempted to spend the remaining balance.
A few weeks ago I cut up my Barclaycard because of their hidden charges that I was quite annoyed about, but when the statement came there was a credit on there - fancy overpaying them! So I've asked for a new card and will use that to buy the shopping when it comes and then cut it up again.
The 1 credit card I've kept is the Tesco one, but I'm determined to clear it every month now I have a regular wage coming in.
You Old Stylers have shown me lots of ways to cut back on my spending and I'm resisting the compulsion to spend, spend, spend, because how will I explain it to you lot?! I feel positive that the new things I have learned will help me control my spending, reduce my debt, and keep me on track.
So please do have a cake - there are only 7 left now  - but be careful that my mouth isn't full when you pat me on the back.spendy/she/her ***DEBT-FREE DATE: 11 NOVEMBER 2022!*** Highest debt: £35k (2006) MY WINS: £3,541 CASH; £149 Specsavers voucher; free eye test; goody bag from Scottish Book Trust; tickets to Grand Designs Live; 2-year access to Feel Amazing App (worth £100); Home Improvement & Renovation Show tickets; £50 to spend on chocolate; Harlem Globetrotters tickets; Jesus Christ Superstar tickets + 2 t-shirts; Guardians of the Galaxy goody bag; Birmingham City v Barnsley FC tickets; Marillion tickets; Dancing on Ice tickets; Barnsley FC v Millwall tickets0 -
:T Well done, spendy!!! :T
*I take it you've been reading the credit card boards - you're doing fabulous!!*
As you already know, I only use my TCC and pay the balance in full each month, it really is the *only* way I would use my CC. I do use it for larger expenditure (ie: annual payment) because I have already saved up during the year into my savings account (gaining the interest) and then when an annual expense, or planned major expense hits the mat ... I pay with the CC and simply transfer that same amount from my savings to current a/c ready to pay the CC off in one. Works well for us and I hope you will also benefit from it too
