Plug plants

I've ordered some large plug plants as summer bedding. Should I grow them on in pots or can't I plant them out straight away (assuming that bye the time they arrive the chances of frost are minimal)?

What are they? Makes a difference to what you do with them. I do generally pot plug plants up before planting them out, gives better results. Whatever you do, you'll have to acclimatise them to the outside variable temperature and humidity, and that's far easier in larger pots.

By the way, after all this work.... where are the pictures of the improved garden? :D:D

I ordered impatiens and petunias to fill the gaps between the as yet very small plants.

    And since you ask,

Pot them on, somewhere warm and frost free. Apparently frost is forecast for the south east so will be way too cold anywhere yet.

Money Maker is right. What's more, you might be surprised how different you mail order plants are from the bruisers depicted in the catalogue or on screen! They will need some nurturing before planting out this early.
