Pension Credit award ?

Got my Pension Credit award letter a couple of weeks ago for Guaranteed credit and a bit of Savings credit.
However, all the figures were wrong so I had to phone up about it.
I phoned the number they gave (if the award wasn't right) and after explaining they said I should speak to "change of circumstances" and they transferred me.
This is what is worrying me because as I said to the person concerned, I haven't had a change of circumstances - their figures were wrong in the letter.
I gave all my bank details again as they bore no relation to the award.
Can someone confirm if this is normal procedure to be transfered to "change of circumstances" department an should I just sit tight and wait for a response or phone up again?

I gave all my bank details again as they bore no relation to the award.
Do you mean that the bank details on a letter from DWP were not yours?
It makes me wonder whether you were sent a letter intended for another person.0 -
I applied over the phone and the guy took all the relevant bank details and dates etc.
On the award the figures of savings are slightly less then I said but they have doubled the ISA amount to the penny.
I think this occurred because at the beginning I said what bank accounts I had got plus an ISA account. Towards the end he asked if I had any ISA,s and I said only the one I have told you about and gave him the amount again. They have put this down twice.
At the top where it says "this is the amount of savings you told us you have" It doesn't add up to the amount of the separate accounts listed They have even added an extra account for good measure.
So, to sum up, I have slightly more money then they have listed on my current accounts but only half of what they say I have in an ISA
I gave the amounts again over the phone but why would it be change of circumstances?0 -
It is administratively simpler to pass your case to that group because in essence what needs to be done for a change of circumstances is what needs to be done in your case?0
