Roofers question

Hi,

I've just had some holes done in the felt ( 4 smallish tears but roof was not leaking ) from the outside.

Whilst I was up there the I noticed another tennis ball sized hole on the other side and asked about getting it done. Unfortunatly not a long enough ladder as conservatory is in the way or would have done it now.

Hes told me just to keep an eye on it and let me know if it ever lets water in and should be water proof as I have 'half bonded' tiles?

Whats half bonded please. He says that's the best design and not to panic.

Cheers.
