No idea but the general structure seems good and the free examples are the sorts of things you could work with and use.

My son got married last weekend. The best man was clearly nervous but did a cracking job. He included two funny stories involving escapades where my son ended up with a broken arm each time.

He also alluded to some of my sons endearing little personality quirks in the nicest possible way (as did the celebrant who was a personal friend).

Everyone found the stories hilarious and my son didn't mind at all.. I don't think the goat story is remotely offensive but obviously you know your brother, I don't.

I agree do be sure to praise your brothers choice of woman, his best personal qualities, how much he means to you all etc. Welcome her family into your family, be gracious and charming.

Keep it short and simple, don't ramble on for too long.

A little tip......don't talk too fast. Slow down the delivery - often we gabble when we are nervous and talk too quickly. And of course, make sure that people at the far end of the room can hear you.

I agree You will have A kind audience, They will be rooting for you.

    I like the goat story!

I'm a wedding photographer and I hear a lot of speeches. My advice, avoid the Internet and all the generic jokes. Make it as personal as possible. Avoid any stories about previous girlfriends or anything sexual. Embarrass him a bit and round up by saying the bridesmaids and bride look beautiful and the bride brings out the best in the groom. They are a perfect match for one another.

    Enjoy it and good luck.

You might derive some inspiration from some of the speeches on here and just work your own ideas and past history into your speech:-

Maybe bring up the couple's history - they've been together x number of years and so have learned all about each other - the good and the bad bits - and yet they're still in love!

As well, check with the couple - there may be stories they want included (or not).

As mentioned before, don't talk too fast and remember to pause and let the audience laugh at the funny bits. Remember too that you will be addressing a friendly audience.

Good luck! Enjoy your speech as I'm sure the guests will.
