The laptop boots up to 98 ok. I cannot find the key to select the bios to display. What are the extra 4 keys above the F1 etc keys.

Try F10 on compaqs. After it beeps or you see the white block.
Compaq/HP have excellent support documents.0 -
I had a Compaq Armada, and the four extra keys were quick launch keys which could be set to launch programs of your choice.
Instructions are in the manual, available from the website.
Sorry I don't have a link, but I found a manual for an 8yo model, so should be no problem.Move along, nothing to see.0
