Hi,
I went into the Job Centre on Wednesday 13th April and asked them to change the account my UC gets paid into, so I filled in the form and was told it would be done instantly and my payment on 19th today would go to the new account I specified.
However, today I check my accounts and it has gone to my old account which is overdrawn (unplanned overdraft).
Is there any way to reverse the payment and get them to send it to my new account? They said this wouldn't happen but alas it has. I am awaiting talks with CAB about a DRO to deal with my debts but I have nothing to live on at all and owe family money which I was hoping to pay back today.
Thanks for any help or advice.

No, DWP would not reissue a new payment unless the original payment gets bounced back to their bank which it won't.... You really should have done the change of bank over the phone. JCP have to send the form to the benefit delivery centre... And if you done it on the 13th and the payment was due today was a bit late...0
