Virgin Media Outstanding Balance

Hi All,

This is my first post so apologies if it's in the wrong place.

I tried to get Virgin Media services today and was told I have an outstanding balance of £130 from a previous connection. I had Virgin Media 10+ years ago (in the same house) and have never been notified of any outstanding balance.

Furthermore, they guys on the phone can't tell me when or what it's for and get rude when I refuse to pay it without some details of what it is :mad:

How do I find out what it's for and where would I stand if they enter it on to my credit file ?
