Hi I'm currently in the process of buying a new build with my OH with Taylor wimpey. On the 12th of March we had our options meeting and gained a quote from Taylor wimpey for carpets we chose to not go for carpets at that time to get quotes from other sources. We came to the decision that Taylor wimpey had priced compatible so decided today we would order with them though now have been quoted £250 more!. Am I wrong in thinking as they gave us the price we only should be charged the original or is that a pipe dream and are stuck paying what now is not competitive prices.

How long does it say the quote is valid for?
If it's no longer competitive go back to one of the other firms.....0 -

Yes you are wrong and yes it's a pipe dream.
I dont see why you are "stuck paying non competitive prices" though, just choose one of the other companies .0 -
They quoted, you declined, now you have come (crawling? just kidding) back and now the price is higher.
Sounds fair to me.0 -
They can charge you whatever they like. Upto whether you want to buy from them.0

Seems strange, they have a standard pricelist for your plot so they must have quoted wrong0
