i am not talking about caring or sales, but more liasing with people instead of caring for someone or only interacting with said people to get sales and commission.
i am looking for a new job and i enjoy interacting and getting to know people/strangers on a personal level, but there aren't many jobs i know about which involve this kind of interaction barring maybe caring, nursing and other medical professions etc.

That wouldn't have been one of the obvious ones IMO, and not really as entry level position ( I'm guessing the OP is talking about a job he can walk into?)
OP, how about working in a pub? You'll get to know all the regulars and meet a lot of different people.....
That's my only suggestion really if you're not considering care work or sales.0 -
Anything in the hospitality industry, really. Sales? The best salespeople are the ones who relate well to people.........Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0

As an event manager, I can safely say hospitality. Starting from the bottom as a waiter/bar man, up to planning events and selling. I spend literally all day talking to people.
My best customers are those who you feel you're friends with as opposed to business colleagues. They become part of the furniture. My colleague has been to our customers wedding, family occasions. A great job to meet new people from all walks of life.0 -

it's not that i don't mind sales, but you're not really getting to know a person. for the most part it is about getting a sale more than anything.0 -
