Galaxy s7 - how to make emails delete from phone when download to desktop

Can anyone help me - I have a Galaxy S7 Edge and with all my previous phones (note and S7) emails come to the phone but automatically delete as soon as I open Outlook on my desktop. Due to the number and size of emails I receive I really need this feature - otherwise I will use up my entire phone memory in a matter of weeks with just emails.
All the settings on my new phone email are (as far as I can see) exactly the same as they were on my old phone - also a Samsung (s5) and nothing has changed on my desktop - I am hoping (!) this is a simple thing and there is just something I need to tick or untick somewhere on the phone - can anyone help me with this? Many many thanks.

Hello Lorraine,
I've found this on the Samsung Galaxy S7 user guide from the official site:
Is that setting turned on at all? Then when you're on your desktop computer and delete them in Outlook they'll 'disappear' from your Edge. It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.0 -
Have you ensured the sync is on as with IMAP whatever you do in one place mirrors across0
