You need to adjust the ball downwards to stop the tank from filling past the outlet pipe level.
  • Hi

Is your small expansion tank (for the heating) above the main tank?

Ask to see CIPHE (Chartered Institute of Plumbing & Heating Engineering)
  • Had this problem recently. It turned out to be not in the cold water tank, but the central heating tank and somebody (in a previous life) had turned the pump speed up to max which meant the water was whizzing round and round, getting hotter and hotter which then produced condensation which was then dripping out of the overflow.....and so it went on. Plumber did fit a new ballcock and valve as well, to make absolutely sure. Cost about £50 all in and the dripping has stopped.
