Considering investing in Equities

So ive been a pro-gambler now for 4 years and am now debt-free , paid off my mortgage and have a reasonable amount in savings and am considering investments options - in my current situation if i keep back enough for a 6 month emergency fund and enough to still be functional for my gambling bankroll ( without the reasonable risk of ruin) and i can probably spare 40-50k
I already have 5k invested in P2P lending
So my attention has turned to equities - as from the looks of things the annual ROI seems much more lucrative - i understand there's an element of risk, but due to my background im ok with that - and from what i can gather, you have to choose a 'platform' to begin investing...
Ive found 3-4 funds, namely 'Legg Mason IFJaEq X', 'Fundsmith Equity I Acc' and 'AXA Frmlngtn UK Sm Cos Z Acc' that im interested in, but cant seem to find some of them on different platforms.
Are all funds available to all platforms?
Also it say the lowest-minimum investment on these is £100k! but on the Barclays platform, its says i can invest from £50! - am i seeing this right? - or it £50 from any platform , but they're neglecting to mention it (or i cant see it)
Which platform do you use and why?
I plan to re-invest most-if not all of any gains to make the most of the compound effect
Am i even looking in the right area of investment to passively grow/and or generate a passive income?
Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

The 3 you mentioned are all on Cavendish/Fidelity:
AXA Framlington UK Smaller Cos Z Acc
Fundsmith Equity Fund I Class Accumulation
Legg Mason IF Japan Equity Fund Class X Acc GBP
I use Cavendish because it has the lowest fees on smaller ISAs (< £100k or whatever the cut off point is)Mortgage (Nov 15): £79,950 | Mortgage (May 19): £71,754 | Mortgage (Sep 22): £0
Cashback sites: £900 | £30k in 2016: £30,300 (101%)0 -
No they are not, but most funds are available to all platforms. Are all funds available to all platforms?
Some platforms allow investments of just £20. The minimums imposed by fund providers are irrelevant if you are investing through a platform. Also it say the lowest-minimum investment on these is £100k! but on the Barclays platform, its says i can invest from £50! - am i seeing this right? - or it £50 from any platform , but they're neglecting to mention it (or i cant see it)
That won't yield very useful results because the size of your portfolio is a major factor in deciding where to go. There is a comparison table here: http://monevator.com/compare-uk-cheapest-online-brokers/Which platform do you use and why?0
