Best Camellia companion plants for container?
I have 3 large tubs in my front garden, which is all gravel. One tub looks rather bare with just the camellia in it, so I'm looking to add at least one more plant. Also, the soil seems rather damp in it, and I'm hoping more plants will help suck up the water a bit.
I've recently bought a small hydrangea and was going to add that, and today I got a potentilla fruticosa. It was an impulse buy and I'm unsure what to do with it. I keep thinking that since both of these are deciduous, they'll create a mess dropping leaves all over the gravel.
Could anyone suggest a plant that would look nice and go well with the camellia? I'd love something that will spread out and trail over the edges of the tub. And ideally have flowers
