Cheap European breaks in October - help please! =)

Hey, guys. I was wondering if anyone could help.
Myself and a friend want to go away to Europe for four of five days during October (towards the end of the month preferably). We'd like to fly from Cardiff or Bristol and aren't fussy where to (except for France and Spain) as long as it's cheap.
Because we don't know where we want to go, searching is a bit difficult. Can anyone recommend anywhere nice? The cheaper the better, really... we're on shoestring budgets of around £200-£250).
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Check out Ryanair.com. They have a big flight sale on just now (6 million seats free - just pay taxes & charges) Fly from Oct 07-Feb 08. They fly to a lot of European destinations from Bristol. Also check out www.hostelworld.com
for budget accommodation.

you can fly to Prague from Bristol - forget about the stag/hen parties there - it is easy to stay away from them (just avoid Wenceslas Square at night) - fantastic place and relatively cheap!Bern :j0
