We received a car park fine for overstaying in a free car park from Euro car parks. It is in my husbands name even though it was me that parked the car and over stayed while shopping (I genuinely had no idea there was a max stay!)
We took the advice from several people and ignored it.
I have no had a letter addressed to my husband from DRP Debt Recover Plus. They have said we owe money and will take court action.
Now it's not so much te ££ that's bothering me. It's the thought that because of this letter he will have something come up on his credit file which is squeaky clean? We are in the process of putting our flat on the market so this is the last thing we need. I called them to try and change it to my name but they said they can't!
So can someone please advise me if this will come up on his credit file at all?
Thank you
Rachel x

It would only appear on his credit file if they successfully got a CCJ against your husband, which he then failed to pay within one calendar month of the judgement date.
In all other circumstances, it would NOT appear.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB
