Coving Removal - Bathroom Tiles

Hello all,

We are currently renovating ceilings in our flat and unfortunately our tradesman has added coving to the bathroom when we haven't asked for it. They are saying it is impossible to remove and just wondering if that is true? The coving has been applied over bathroom tiles - will these be destroyed in any removal process? Would really appreciate help in this area so I can let it go / push for its removal. Thank you!

It really depends what it is fixed with and what the tiles are. I would likely think that it is removable but that the builder/fitter doesn't want to. Maybe because they will have to cut lots of tiles to fit the gap at the top that is currently hidden by the coving!
