cruise parking at southampton

Anyone know any cheap places to park in Southampton for a cruise.

The best price I've found is £85.80 (£6.60 per day) and I can get 7% off with Quidco.

I know the cruise is expensive but it just seems like a lot just to park the car.

I have already checked previous threads.

That price is quite good actually ! Is that in the docks, or is it "park and ride" - airport style ?

We went with Cunard last time, you unload the car and they drive it away for you, when we came back we had to push the trolley about 100 yds to the car.
It's worth it for the convenience, if nothing else.
If you work out just the costs of "doing it yourself" - you will be surprised at the cost of that.

I looked earlier this year and there isn't much about. Some hotels do stay and park packages but they weren't particularly cheap holidayextras.co.uk offer it but thats a mini bus transfer etc. As moonrakerz did I paid a bit more and let them take the car away from the dockside http://www.candps.com/ is the company I used

have just booked a room at holiday inn express southampton west for 99/nt for family room which includes leaving car there for 10 nts.
they wanted 170 pounds initially but then found the above offer.

    you can only ask
it saves possibility of getting stuck in traffic on a a monday mornings travel and all the subsequent stress involved and being already in southampton the nt before means we can one of the first to board.
    all aboard the skylark!

The price I got was for off-site parking with a 15 minute transfer.
It's will a "maple manor" company and through https://www.holidayextras.co.uk (also 7% through quidco)

Looks fine (CCTV etc.) but I know from experience that a 15 min transfer willbe 20-45 minutes due to luck of the draw with buses, so we'd probably pay the extra £20 to go to the one by the cruise terminal.

The cruise is to the canaries on 28th Oct with QE2 for 12 nights.

Have also looked at hotels but we are already staying somewhere beforehand (and to be honest the hotel parking prices aren't that great bearing in mind you have to add in taxis both ways).
