hello,
hopefully someone may be able to offer some advice.
can you lay lamiate floor over existing bamboo flooring without underlay, i.e. directly on top, wood onto wood if the existing floor has underlay and damp proof layer already installed. the reason i ask is i dont want to rip up the existing floor as it was quite expensive. would like to restore it at a later date once the kids have grown up.
thanks in advance.

I'd definitely use 2mm underlay to prevent squeaking (and possible damage/ scratching to the existing bamboo flooring) Easy to use and normally supplied in 1 mtr wide rolls.
