PPI advice please

Hi,

I have held several store cards over the years, most of which I was pressured into signing up for by retail staff to get an instore discount on the day. I have never really used them since.
I've also used credit companies to get 0% finance when I have purchased sofas from the likes of DFS and taken out extended warranties on kitchen applicances. I wonder if PPI would come into play and if I would be entitled to make a claim?

Here's the problem, I honestly can't remember who the store cards were with or the details of the credit agencies.
How do I go about finding out this information for myself? Can Experian or Equifax help?
I get nuisance calls re: PPI almost everyday but believe they take a huge chunk of commission.

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated. I'm a novice to all of this. Thanks in advance.

I have never really used them since.

If you haven't used these cards, PPI will have been minimal even if you had it.

PPI is only paid when the account has a balance.
  • and if I would be entitled to make a claim?
It's not a claim, you would be making a complaint alleging that ppi was somehow mis-sold to you (if there actually was any ppi ?).

Remember, there's nothing wrong with ppi, it's the way it was sold that was the problem, in some cases.
