Afternoon everyone!

I want to use raffia to tie around some homemade gifts but am unsure whether to go for the real stuff or the "paper" raffia.
I need to use small bunches of it rather than single strips and in quite long lengths.

I.am wondering if the real stuff is just too messy but does the paper stuff just look like paper?

If anyone has used either I would appreciate comments. Thanks!

right now raffia should be available in bundles in gardening sections of stores (even supermarkets often have it). I buy it in Wilkos.
real raffia is unmistakable, I have never seen convincing paper substitutes.
