    Does the income protection plan you have with L&G kick in after 12 months to match when the employer benefit ends?

    We're Looking into taking out CIC for self employed, 50+, smoking OH so know it won't be cheap. Any company regarded as being the best of a bad bunch please? We already have life insurance so only need the CIC element.

    Not sure any of them are referred to as a bad bunch. Claims to payout ratios are very good across the board. However, there is a lot of difference between the providers in what they cover. So, it is a key thing to look at in your research.
