Energy club
Can someone help please.
I've just put all our details in the energy club to find the best supplier we are on Sainsbury price promise December 2016, I put in KWH and we're dual fuel, Energy club said we are paying £119 monthly but we're paying £138. We know something is wrong but can't get to the bottom of it, we've had the meter checked and our appliances and boiler are fairly new. My neighbour has an extension on her house with 3 teenage children and her bill is lower than mine.

That suggests wrong tariff details .0

When is your annual review? Could your account be in debit for more than projected and your monthly DD covers the outstanding amount. Energy suppliers usually calculate your DD so that your account balance is around £0 at your annual review, and may increase or decrease your direct debit depending on what they think you will use up until your annual review and to cover any difference.
They also may be taking into account that your tariff ends in December so have increased your direct debit to cover their standard prices which you would automatically switch on to. If this is the case I would ask for the DD to be reduced. The figure given by energy club may be based on your current prices only.
Failing that, check your bill to make sure they're billing you on the correct tariff and rates.Make £10 per day-

As stated above, DD payments are irrelevant when calculating energy savings. I have my current tariff details entered into a small spreadsheet, and this gives me the total annual cost based on usage (in kWhs/year) standing charges, unit costs, discounts and VAT.
All comparisons are made against this calculation. If you have set up MSE CEC correctly, it should show the same calculation. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
