Can I take a photo frame and two china mugs in hand luggage through gatwick security, I have looked on their site and cannot see anything about these objects. Both of these are birthday presents, thanks.

All airports have a baggage restriction on anything that can be used as a weapon, and although this could cover glass from a picture frame, I think that it would need an extremely difficult or awkward security person to want to take it from you for this reason.0 -

I've had security abroad being funny about snow globes in hand luggage, only let me through after a lot of pleading. Not sure if it was to do with glass or liquid though, it was a few years ago!0
