I am owed £1440 by hsbc, they informed me about a month ago i had won the claim. I no longer bank with them so had to fill a form in with bank details and ID and take it to the local branch which i did straight away. Still waiting for the payment to go in my account, how long did everyone else wait for the payment?

Letter from hsbc arrived this morning. I need to go in branch for my signature to be verified. I'd already done this on 21st march and took id and the branch were to send of the acceptance form. Anyway, local branch open today so go straight up and show them the letter! Lady goes off to find out whats haopened and comes back and says they failed to verify my signature last time, they were very apologetic, but it is there fault. So back to the waiting game!0

When you finally receive the cheque, make a further complaint about the delay due to their error. You may get an extra good-will payment in view of the lost interest.
In the meantime, chase them at regular intervals.0 -

Hi
How long did it take for you to get a decision from HSBC ?
My husband wrote to them last Sept / Oct.
They wrote back saying they couldn't find the account.
He wrote back last November with scanned copies of statements & got no response. He sent another copy & again no response.
We sent a third copy recorded delivery in April. We then got a written acknowledgement.
Someone then rang last Friday & spent approx 30 minutes on the phone with my husband going over everything.
Today he's received a questionnaire to fill in ! It won't tell them anything that we haven't covered in the letters & 30 minute telephone conversation.
If they needed this form filled in why didn't they send it to us last October !
Frankly it feels like they're trying to throw up obstacles and keep hoping we'll go away !
Did you have similar problems ?
