Bbc i player

When I view BBC iplayer on my pc I have two bars across the bottom of my screen
bar 1 shows which program I am viewing and
bar 2 shows a progress bar with sound and stop start buttons


how do I remove these bars when viewing as it is very distracting
thank you

    Click in the picture and they should move away.

    It's a long time since I viewed iPlayer on a computer, but seem to remember that you need to move the cursor out of the picture area.

    I sometimes click on the menu bar at the top of the screen and it goes when clicking outside doesn't work I've found just moving (not clicking) the mouse to the menu bar can make the symbols at the base blink themselves off.

    I've just checked and if the mouse cursor is in the bottom of the screen then the controls will display.

    To hide the controls simply move the mouse cursor away, such as the centre of the picture. The controls will disappear after 2 seconds.
