Credit Card Clone Query

I had my credit card cloned, Nationwide were great and paid me back the money straight away and I thought that was the end of it.

Today I have had an amount credited to my card from the company that took it in the first place, so I have had the money paid back twice.

What confuses me a little is that Nationwide issued me a new card with a new number so how have they managed to credit me this amount?

And should I mention it to anyone?!

Thanks!!

What happens is the banks restore the funds straight away, they will then chargeback what they can to source merchants

Normally chargebacks jump to the live account regardless of the new number and the customer receives 2 credits

You dont need to tell them but it will be picked up eventually, it may be a few days, it may be a few months and when they discover it they will just take the money off which depending on the circumstances at the time may cause you problems or incur you charges

Your best off just giving them a call and its over with
