    What type of steam cleaner are you interested in?
    There are several different types: hand held, cylinder, floor mop etc.

    I have a Karcher steam cleaner which has an attachment to clean floors. I find it easy to use and very effective. It also doesn't take up too much cupboard space.

    There are no two-in-one steam cleaners voted as best buys in the May edition of "Which?". The top three scorers are:

    Black & Decker FSMH1621GB 2-in-1 @ £95 (score 63%)
    Vax S86-SF-C Steam Fresh Combi @ £90 (score 63%)
    Vax Steam Fresh Combi Classic Pet A86-SF-CCP @ £100 (score 62%)

    Worst on test with a "don't buy" rating was:
