Mortgage offer- change property?

We got our mortgage offer through this week from Nationwide, but the house sale has fallen through. (No planning permission/buildings control for extension and doesn't meet regulations, vendor won't pay for the necessary work). Does anyone know if we can keep the mortgage but change the property when we find a new one (and get a new valuation) or do we need to start from scratch?

Don't know about nationwide, but we had to start from scratch.
May depend on time scales, lender might need up to date info like payslips/bank statements.0 -
We're just doing this now with Nationwide, through London & Country.
We had our full offer end of March and then the house fell through. L&C have just submitted changes rather than start over from scratch, we changed the property and altered the loan amount (only slightly). Valuation survey is still free as well, which I wasn't expecting!
L&C seemed to think it would be fairly straightforward, and at most they may just ask us each for our March payslips to update. I'll keep you updated if you like!0 -
Thanks all. If you could keep me updated Baxter81 that'd be great.0
