Hello,
I'm hoping some of you can help me. I need help with budgeting.
My partner gets paid monthly (last working day), and I get paid weekly, but some of our benefits are 4 weekly. What's the best way to budget for this? I'm so confused!
Thank you

Open a separate bills account for all bills.
Pay a monthly standing order in from your partner's account, perhaps on the 1st of each month. 12 times a year.
Pay a weekly standing order in from your account. 52 times a year.
Have all the benefits paid directly into it. 13 times a year.
Do some maths to ensure you're ahead of yourselves and round up the payments due by c10%. That'll help out at Christmas. I'd suggest not using the bills account for any day to day spending. Just the direct debits and standing orders.0 -
