Following a customer compliance interview… please help

Hello I had a customer compliance interview about 2 months ago, I still haven't had no update, basically someone apparently told them that my children's father and I were still in a relationship and living together (in which we are most certainly not) the lady who interviewed me said she was happy with the information I had given her etc and that the statement would be held for 28 days Incase I decided to change my claim and after that would be passed to fraud team to check over and that I would be notified of the outcome, I still haven't heard anything back, should I contact them and if so who would I need to contact? Many thanks

Do you need to contact them? Were your benefits suspended?

If there were any concerns by the compliance or fraud teams you would have heard about it by now. I wouldn't bother trying to contact them.
  • No I haven't had any claims suspended or anything, just thought I would have had an update to say that my case was closed ect, it's making me feel scared incase they believe the malicious allegation, I already suffer bouts of depression and anxiety, and the chance that they could interpret that there is any relationship or co-habitating going on makes me actually feel ill, he does come to see the children and fetch them but that's as far as it goes, our lives are 100% separate! During interview I invited them to come and visit my address at any time, day or night, and happily gave them any details they wanted to know, the lady even advised me on going back to college and my intitlements and childcare options if I did so (as I Would love to become a midwife). I don't think she would have been so kind and helpful and encouraging if she would have thought I was a liar or cheat, and think she was genuine about being satisfied, but after all it's not her decision, it would be the decision of Fraud investigation officers once it would have been passed on, and thought I would have heard by now, any way sorry for banging on lol, and thanks 4 the replies

I can take months for them to come up with a decision to what happens, JCP will send the information you submit to them to the benefit delivery centre who then comes up with a decision to what happens.

I had a compliance interview in January. The DWP who interviewed us said he would take no further action. I took this as to him telling the truth and heard nothing more and in any case wasn't in the least concerned.

Try not to worry, we never received anything further and DWP often don't bother with further reassurance.
Master Apothecary Faranell replied, “I assure you, overseer, the Royal Apothecary Society dearly wishes to make up for the tragic misguidance which ended so many lives. We will cause you no trouble. We seek only to continue our research in peace".

I wouldn't worry about it. They can't just take the word of a malicious caller, there has to be evidence.

If it comes down to it you can easily prove your ex lives elsewhere (lease/mortgage, bank statements going to his new address)
  • Hi there, I know it's been a year but I wondered what was the outcome? I'm currently in a similar situation and it's been 3weeks since my customer compliance interview and I would like to know if and when they come back to you with an outcome.

    Many thanks x

Seems like we'll never know. If you've done nothing wrong then you have nothing to worry about.
