Just curious, one of my debts has been passed to PRA Group who keep emailng me asking me to confirm my address.
Ive had a few DCA communication in the past and they always have had my address I assume passed to them from original creditors.
Should I be suspicious and are there any benefits to keeping it that way?.
Thanks

Suspect they are going to apply for a CCJ at the old address and are praying you will ignore them, thus giving them proof they offered you the opportunity to correct the wrong address and cancelling out any attempt to overturn the CCJ.
The next you will hear is when they trace you and enforce the CCJ with bailiffs.
These people are never as daft as they make out.I do Contracts, all day every day.0 -
Or, on another tangent, sometimes debts are sold with minimal information, so they are phishing for the owner, and you are on the hook !!I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. Thanks guys.
I have lived at this address 14 years so I'm hoping it's not the CCJ option.
I have even emailed them to offer a token payment plan and income/ expenditure sheet to support it so definitely not ignoring them.
I'll give them a call later:j0 -

Ferry, don't call them, never call them.
Wait until something resembling a letter drops on your doormat, nothing they can do until they officially write to you.
Don't think its anything to do with a CCJ, they just arnt sure your the debtor, plain and simple, don't do there job for them.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
