    But I don't think there was ever really a dilemma. If debt wasn't a factor then trying to time it right might have been a worthwhile exercise. Given that there was debt involved, the only point I could see in delaying is if you thought there was going to be a run on the pound in the coming months.

    Could you have made more money waiting for the right moment? Almost definitely. But you almost definitely would have missed the opportunity, believing there would have been an even better moment.
