Has anybody else had trouble with (or even heard about) this lot? "Factory prices" furniture/furnishings site. VERY stupidly (before anyone else says it!) we've ordered some furniture from them and paid by bank transfer (5% discount; I know, I should have paid by credit card :-( ). Now, 5 weeks on, no reply to emails, can't speak to anyone (London number just goes to recorded message saying how busy they are and someone will get back to me - they don't), and a Google search reveals appalling Trust Pilot reviews ("scammers", "thieves", countless orders not received etc etc etc). Not only do I feel really stupid for not Googling them before I ordered (Friday evening, red wine and an iPad is a dangerous combo) but I've no idea what recourse I've got (if any) or indeed where to go next (they seem to be a French outfit, despite the London HQ number). If anyone can offer some crumb of comfort or advice please post it here... Kev

I'm not sure I can offer anything more than you've already beaten yourself over the head with: do your research first; don't pay by bank transfer unless you are 100% certain of the seller; pay by credit card if possible. You could contact Action Fraud but I doubt if they'll be able to do anything to get your money back I'm afraid.

Thanks both. I'm not sure what made me think they were French... clearly they're not.

So, they've taken a lot of money from me and it seems as if there's no recourse? Surely this is theft?

I thought they may be French because of the number of French customers who have had a similar experience on Trustpilot...
