Design your own Christmas shopping bag parties?

Christmas i hear you say lol

Well yes im planing a make your own Christmas bag party. Its basically going to be an excuse for a natter while jazzing up some cloth or jute bags. The purpose is so we dont gather the usual millions of bags while we do our shopping for gifts - drives me nuts!

I was wondering if anyone else on here would be up for doing the same kind of things with their friends.

Im happy enough to source the bags and some bits and bobs for my friends and i to use to make them look cool and then the idea is people just pay for the number of bags they want (you should be able to get them for a reasonable price on ebay - although i have emailed a fair trade wholesaler to see if they would do them for lower numbers) and a little bit towards the decorating stuff. Although if you didnt want to source these things for friends I suppose you could ask people to bring their own bags and bits and bobs to jazz them up and just tell them where to buy the bags?

So is anyone up for it? I suppose its more of a girly thing to do but what fun all the same

Sounds like a fun thing to do for gift bags, or maybe if you had detatchable decorations for your shopping bags? Otherwise you could only use them for a few weeks year!
