Second Fixtures in Builders Contract

Thank you so much for your questions which I can now think.
YES, had 25 quotes over 2 years and we compared them in batches every 3 months or so. It has been hard work. I found and chased every single builder either on my street or on streets where I like the houses. I have been very busy with builders but their jargon is something I dont' understand.
We had a meeting with builder on Friday and he has clarified a lot of my queries. He said he has kept contingency plan for things not included. He has agreed to sign the contract which my architect will set. He has also agreed to sign a trade contract too with amount filled in for each week. My architect is a bit slow on these issues but when raised he does get them done.
He has made a lot of notes from our meeting on Friday and I do hope he does not raise the price after our meeting. Fingers crossed.
The work starts on 3rd of May. I hope it goes well, we have two small children to look after as well. So everything is very stressful.0 -
The stressful part hasn't even started yet. Be prepared to be making decisions on things you didn't even think of, on a daily basis. You can pick your friends and you can pick your nose but you can't pick your friend's nose.0

Rain Shadow, Any thing in particular I should look out for? We are moving out of house by July to give them full space to finish the project. Please share your experience.0
