No, but because he has clearly indicated a surcharge for two-way switching. So it is obviously implicit that 1-way switching is included.

And it's nothing to do with arguing it in court - we haven't seen the complete quote. I'm sure that is all specified in the smallprint. You have made the ridiculous assumptions here without any reason to assume them! We have just seen a snippit which shows what the OP is having done - it's not the complete estimate/quote.

I do agree that the price is a bit cheap though.
You assume it I assume as the OP states "Please find below a detailed quotation for the works required:" That is what it is ? and is in the form as that sent to them without edits etc
If the OP is editing to exclude items then there not going to be able to get any form of realistic comment to if the price is good bad etc I understand small print T & C,s may not be there as well as OP address company doing works details however rarely does that small print include materials to be used , installation method e.g surface , chased in etc normally standard conditions of contract payment timescales etc
  • The quote I have posted is exactly as it is, the only part I missed out was the paragraph below as I didn't think it was relevant (clearly I was wrong)

"Please note that due to the nature of the work there will be ‘patching’ work to do, however we aim to make as little mess in the walls & ceilings as possible. All Works carried out by ******** Electricals are guaranteed for 6 years by Elecsa, an electrical governing body.

On completion, I will issue you with a test certificate and inform your local authority that a full rewire has been carried out by ******* Electricals.

At ******** Electricals we aim to be competitively priced, and will always try to match any genuine like-for-like quotation.

If you should have any queries at all, please do not hesitate to contact me on ***********"

Just because you cant tell it would be incorrect to assume others cant from just a few lines of a quote? Years of experience :rotfl:

Too OP A quote doesn’t need to be pages long noting every little item but it does need the essentials covered in this instance essential bits of quote missing is whats actually going in each room e.g.. 1x switch 1x socket, who's paying / responsible for supplying materials ( to an extent makes etc ),making good etc with those missing its open to abuse....
  • I had a full house rewire for a three bed property in Newcastle for 2000. Everything was done by a registered electrician and was above board. Come to the North East everyone it is cheap and friendly
