It's generally advised not to feed garlic to dogs.

Are you feeding toxic garlic to your own dog, or planning to poison someone elses dog?

Must be a joke. Dogs' breath's foul to start with .... lace that with garlic and the smell of their own breath would probably kill them before the garlic did!

Garlic is fine (and has health benefits) in small doses, it's onion that's riskier. However, if there's any doubt on the safe dose for your dog, I would avoid. Is there any particular reason you wanted to make them garlic flavoured (e.g. flea control?)

I don't follow recipes when I make treats, I just mix up flour or oats to the right sort of consistancy (using water, homemade chicken stock, eggs, bit of oil - no marg needed), add something smelly like liver or fish, and either microwave or bake in the oven.

As above, I make tray bake "flapjacks" for my dogs. One clove of garlic, one tin of mashed sardines, one egg then rolled oats, some wholemeal flower and a T of oil (as well as the oil from the sardines) and water as needed until the mixture is holding together. Probably around 12-16 ozs of dry ingredients. I press the mix into silicone trays and bake in microwave. If the oven is on I then bake further at a low heat to make them hard.
Dogs love them and will do somersaults- almost!!

Just one clove, not bulb of garlic
